Sweet Sweet Randoms

18 May

The next couple days are going to be horribly hectic for me as I attempt to collect five textbooks from each of our 1600 students on campus. This week is pretty much the reason that my job stresses me out because I have little or no support to get this Herculean task accomplished. Every year I’m scraping to get by and each day’s a worry.

In other news, I thought the kittens died last night. I came home from work and started dinner and Anthony and Isobel went to feed the tiny monsters. Only they were nowhere to be found. Peach and Zorro followed Anthony through the house as he called for the kittens to eat their supper, but they were gone.We searched each room, over and over, under the beds, in the drawers, we didn’t even hear a mew. Our cats are inside only and the kittens have never been outside before. I thought they must have escaped so I sent Anthony outside to call for them. Broken-hearted, I looked in the dryer, fearing what I’d find. Nothing.

Finally, after twenty minutes of heartsick searching, Anthony discovered them napping in what is apparently their new favorite spot in our closet:

They were so adorable I couldn’t stay mad at them.

Speaking of the very naughty but very cute, here’s Isobel climbing on top of her thrift store chest just for funsies (which is totally not allowed):

And you can tell how on top of it I am in this picture:

She’s playing with all the Easter bunnies, baskets and decorations that I totally meant to put away someday, eventually. Now we just leave them out because she has such a good time going through the pile. Her latest thing is to put a bunny or some other toy in her Easter basket and then wear it over her shoulder like it’s a purse. I can’t help but think she’s copying me as she sees me going to and from work with my bag every day.

Anyway, this post is pretty much pure random but things are too hectic over here for me to manage much else. So have a good one, and I’ll try to do the same.

I love the little ruffle butt. I do not love, however, when lingerie people try to convince me that ruffle butts are appropriate for grown women. They are not.

I am a sucker for ruffle butt on baby clothes. A total sucker.

I saw how they get up there and apparently they climb up my jeans. Excellent.
