A Sneak Peek at The Little Big Shop

6 Jun

I have been very busy thrifting to get a selection of awesome vintage finds for The Little Big Shop on Etsy. This shop is a dream come true for me: there is nothing I like better than spending the day perusing yard sales and vintage shops for goodies. I just don’t have the space to keep everything I find and time after time passed up things I loved because I didn’t have space for it. This shop gives me the opportunity to pounce on great finds without the guilt of storing it out of lack of space.

Everything I buy for the shop is something I would happily keep and something I truly love. Fortunately the fact that I’m not keeping what I buy has not diminished my joy in shopping for it. I feel like I’m winning a prize for someone else every time I find something great.

My goal is to sell vintage goods, not reproductions, and I would never knowingly do so. Some items in the shop are handmade as well by some long ago crafter. The history of the object is part of the fun and finding a new use to repurpose and recycle an old item is the rest of it.

I have a few more nuts-and-bolts to figure out before I start listing items but I should finish with all that this week. I hope you are as excited about The Little Big Shop as I am.

I agree with the first commenter, too– I am also too impatient to scour thrift stores. I will gladly let you do it for me.
